BUYER BEWARE!
Marana Carpet & Tile

Terrible Experience!

Built a new house. They were to install all tile including showers, backsplashes and floors. When they arrived to install, we just happened to be on the job site. Thank God! They were going to install the tile straight, when we had contracted it on the angle. They wouldn't start the job until confirming with the store. The sales rep eventually found her note stating it was to be on the angle. What would have happened had we not been here to stop them? They installed 2/3rds of the tile that day. What would have happened to that note?

Story goes on and on with poor customer relations, however the clincher was at completion, when we did our final, and found numerous tiles that were hollow underneath, broken/chipped and raised. They gave us grief over returning to do the repair, but when the mfg. gave them free tile, they agreed to change these out. Well they arrived with a chisel and hammer, and started removing tile. I went to work. When I went back 2 hours later, they were using a jack hammer, debris was flying everywhere, the the whole place was covered with cement dust. I took photos, and called my husband. When he went in, the guys said that they were done, and left. They didn't clean anything, just left the mess. We couldn't believe that they wouldn't cover the furniture or move the carpet. Additionally, they didn't even replace all the chipped tiles! They said they didn't have enough, so that was all they could do. We called the store, and as usual, didn't get through to anybody, so my husband took a few of the photos from the printer and went to the store. On his way, Debbie, one of the owners called. She blamed me for not covering everything.....like I knew the mess they were going to make? I told her my husband was on his way to the store with photos, and shortly after he arrived, he was also greeted by a police officer who said he had a call on an irate customer. He was stunned! He left the photos, and left the store, not believing this. The next morning, after showing the photos to my chiropractor, I stopped by to drop the rest of them off to the store. I was greeted the same way, told they were doing nothing more for me, and that I was unreasonable. Really? My house is a disaster (after I had already had it professionally cleaned before move in by Janco Janitorial which was great) and now I had to start all over again, but with the additional work of cleaning furniture, and somehow getting this stuff out of the inside of my baby grand piano.

Don't make the same mistake I did, and use Marana Tile.

Top photo: Carpet not moved and debris all over it. 2nd photo shows how they left the tile.
This is how they left the tile.
This dust was everywhere. Every shelf, ceiling fan, light fixture, inside the piano, on furniture....Everywhere

They tiled the top of this bathroom cabinet. After leaving the adhesive all over the side of the cabinet, chipping it off upon return left it totally chipped. They don't plan on doing anything about this either.
